This film was produced for The Menil Collection in concert with their re-opening in 2018 after being closed for 6 months for updates and repairs. The reopening of the museums allowed the curators of the museum to also re-imagine the galleries and how to present the permanent collection. This film tells their story.

Texas Monthly magazine asked us to create a film that mediated on the edge of youth for their April digital issue. We decided to collaborate with (then) high school senior and poet Donald Val to create this film. His beautiful poem, "The Price of Stargazing" is the backdrop for this piece that explores what it means to say good by to your childhood and face an uncertain but exciting future.
